He needs to add a certain spin to it, as it is not meant to be thrown and is not aerodynamic. But it hits where he wants it to, high up on the wall about five feet above the throwing knives.]
Climb the knives and retrieve the sword.
[This was a drill they used to do as children. He'd mastered it eventually, but pulling knives out of rock had been extremely difficult for him as a child. He hadn't had the strength.]
