[When the video feed comes on, it looks like everything is upside down. Only Cassandra's neck and chin are visible at first, showing a lopsided frown as she fumbles with the communicator, nearly drops it, and then finally turns it upside down. Now the view is her face right side up, and she grins into the camera before a paning shot shows she is hanging upside down from a tree in the CES.]

Crunches. Upside down. 500. Bored.

[She could have done this in the gym, yes, but there are less people here usually. Besides-]

Climbed the tree. Always wanted... to try. Bats are upside down. Funny, because [She puts her hand on her chest here.] Batgirl. Warden.

[And then she waves.] Hi.

[Shouldn't be that hard. She just has to focus on the fact that Cass is here.]

[It's still a little baffling that Steph is even here, and she can see her whenever she wants, now.]

[Her arms tighten around Cass again, almost protectively.]

It'll get better. You'll get used to the differences.

[Her brow furrows, though.]

Did something - happen, with Stephanie, back home?

[Oh. Is it possible Babs doesn't know? She didn't think of that, that she would be here possibly not have been told.]

...I know Steph is Batgirl now. [She hasn't probed for much more, yet; she's not sure how much digging she should really do.] But that's after your time, right?

Yes. I'm still Batgirl.

[She doesn't know the circumstances, why Steph is Batgirl now. She isn't quite sure she wants to know.]

Not important. What's important is... everything's okay now.

[And she leans back in, lays her head against Babs' shoulder and closes her eyes.]

Missed you. When we were fighting.

[Barbara just nods, hand drifting up to stroke Cass's hair again.]

I've missed you too, I know I have. More than...

[She's never actually said it - how Cass is like the daughter she can never have.]

[That's the good thing about Cassandra's abilities, though. Barbara hasn't said it, but she doesn't have to. Cass sees it, feels it, knows it. It's nice, knowing what love feels like.]

What room? Can I see you... every day?

[Her face lights up with an earnest grin.]

Of course you can. I'm in room six.

[She leans up, arms around Babs' neck as she hugs her tight again.]
