[Once the door is open, he moves inside, expecting that she'll follow. She's the one who wanted in, anyway.]

I am told that these things are technological advancements, but they appear more to be witchcraft to me. [And now he's staring again, but this time it's at the CTS. What...]

[She's in right on his heels, but doesn't pull the door closed all the way yet. She wants to be sure he's ready.]

You won't die, but injuries can happen. If you have weapons, would use them.

[HE'S... READY...? He's just kind of baffled by the enormity of the room. Witchcraft.

At the mention of weapons, Connor doesn't react -- or rather, to most people, it wouldn't appear as though he's reacted. Cassandra ought to note the subtle flexing of his arm, though; the bracers on his forearms are innocuous enough, but his body language is telegraphing that they're apparently weapons.]

I am unarmed. [He glances back at her over his shoulder.] Exactly what is it that happens in here?

[Now she does close the door, rolls her shoulders and moves towards the center of the room as the lights begin to dim.]

Fighting. Enemies will come. They'll be... based on things you know. Things I know, since I'm here. You fight them. If you get tired, say so.

[He instinctively responds to the way her shoulders move by adjusting his footing into a more solid defensive stance.]
