[It's late, it's been dark for hours and she's pretty sure everyone else is sleeping, but Cass can't. It's not really a new thing, since generally crime fighters are out all night anyway, but the events of the port haven't helped much.

She's in her room when she turns the feed on, dressed in her Batgirl costume except for the cowl and gloves. She feels more like herself, dressed this way.]

What are... tips, for sleeping? Or... to do, to make tired? Don't say reading.

Is anyone else... even up?



[He said she could visit when she wanted. She even told him it might be at night and he said it was okay. That's why Cass is at Merlin's door in the middle of the night, not knocking before she just goes right in. The door was unlocked, so maybe he remembered she said she'd visit. She doesn't look around before she closes the door behind her because she's not really sneaking, so getting caught isn't exactly on her mind.

It's dark inside, which is good. It means he's sleeping instead of staying up all night doing magic things, or whatever it is Merlins do in their spare time. She makes her way to his bed, then climbs onto it to sit beside him and poke him in the shoulder.]

I can tell you what doesn't help, but it starts with coffee and ends with bad sleeping habits.

[Oh. She didn't even think to go find Steph, just assumed she'd be sleeping, that Kon would be there, or that Kon would be there and they wouldn't be sleeping. It doesn't take a genius to figure out going to a room shared by a couple at night isn't a good idea, so she never tried.

But Steph is more important, so she bypasses the question and the suggestions to get straight to the point.]

You okay? You should... be sleeping.

Yeah, I'm fine. I just... don't really want to go to sleep. [ Too many nightmares, so soon after that port. And now that Kon actually needs sleep like a human being, she sneaks out for late night walks on her own. ]

I spend half the night working out anyway. Old habits, you know.

Yes.

[Of course she understands all of that, she's guilty of it herself. Her old habits kept her in the training simulator for hours and now it's likely she'll just go back.]

Sounds good to me. Just like old times. [ She's been thinking about old times a lot lately, so hanging out with Cass should make her feel better. ]

[ She smiles weakly. She misses the old times too. And she wishes Cass would come back to Gotham. But that's years in Cass' future. ]

[They have the strangest idea of a good time, but honestly, those days when Steph came to train with her are some of Cass' best memories.]
