[Cass has set the communicator up so it points at the large frozen lake in the CES and once she's sure it's recording, she grins and takes a few steps back.]

Watch this.

[Turning away, she runs for the lake and jumps onto the ice, sliding across on her feet. Apparently, she's not letting the lack of ice skates get to her. Once she comes to a stop, she turns back to the camera and starts her way back.]

It's fun! Everyone should... come try. Can let in inmates, if you promise... to be good.

[And she really, really means that. It's not every day she meets someone like her. He can't read her like she can him, she thinks, but whatever he's doing to be that good is similar, maybe? She doesn't know. It doesn't really matter.]

What do you... think of the Barge?

[He laughs.] Would it be strange if I said I liked it better than home?

No. I like it better... here, too. Much better.

What's your world like? [As dark as his?]

[hellofist]

Violent. Lots of crime, bad things.

Some good things. Not enough, though. Doesn't... usually balance out. Worth protecting, though.

Sounds exactly like mine. [Protecting, she'd said.] Are you in law enforcement?

Not exactly. Do you have... masked fighters, in your world?

We do... we did. But only one has super-powers.

Don't have powers, but... very strong. Good fighter. Called Batgirl, in costume.

Ozymandias. [He holds out his hand instinctively, and then laughs.] Ah, I'm sorry. Old habit. I'm retired.

Do that wrong, anyway. [She nods to his hand, then figures she might as well just show him. She reaches out and presses her fist into his hand.] No one... taught me handshake.

[She grins when he says Batgirl first, clearly pleased. No matter what anyone says, that still feels like her skin and sometimes, it's nice to have that recognized and not treated like a bad thing.]

[A sad smile. That's not his name anymore. Not publicly, anyway.] I'm from New York City. And you?

Lived in Bludhaven. It was... big city, but smaller than Gotham. Miss it.

It was... destroyed. By an enemy. Slade. His daughter... tried to kill me. But I beat her. Hurt her.

He got mad.

[And she knows that's not the only reason they dropped chemo on her town, but Penguin had been part of it too. He wanted her dead just as much as Deathstroke had, so it was hard not to take it a little personally.]
