Seventh Unused Utility Belt | Video, forward dated to after dark

[When the feed clicks on, Cassandra isn't actually in view. Instead, the first thing seen is London at night... from very high up. She's filming mostly for herself, so she can go back and look at London from a thousand feet in the air again, but it seems like a good thing to show the rest of the Barge, too.]

Missed cities. Nothing feels better than... being up high, seeing everything. Wish I had parachute, would jump.

[She turns the camera around to show herself dressed in the batsuit, tugging the cowl off once she's in view.]

Never been to London, so I figure... climb to top of everything. Might never get to, if not now. There's a big clock, might be next. Any suggestions?


(ooc: Cass has climbed to the top of this. It's only the tallest building in the UK it's nbd.)

If this is anything like the world I'm from. No one, outside of the police. Well Angel paroled LA and the slayer had Sunnydale but demon and vamp huntin's not quite what you and Steph do.

Besides love, you know you can't stay right? If we could I'd take you someplace better. London's a good city and all but I know a few much more for the party crowd.

[ He leaned a bit looking from the city back to her.] Do you miss it? Gotham I mean.

I know.

[And it's not so much that she even wants to stay, so much as she'd like to have a city to herself again. The Barge is wonderful, it's a miracle to not have to worry about the people she loves dying anymore, but it's still just a cage sometimes.]

Yes. Sometimes. Sometimes no. Robins... tend to die, there. I like knowing... they're safe, on the Barge.

[Well, one of them's back out there, but at least Steph is still safe.]

Yeah, Steph mentioned something about that. I don't know how you kids can do all of this so willingly. [ He took a breath before thinking back on a wise friends words and offered her another soft smile.] But you never know your true strength until your tested.

And safe on the Barge is not necessarily what we all want. At least you got your family around you though, that's always a bonus... Hey wanna go see the Tower Brige? its another of the touristy spots here.

[She nods, because it's good that he understands that her family has to test themselves to be sure of their worth. It's just something that they all seem to do. She nods again at his suggestion.]

Yes. Want to see everything.

Well you'd be lucky then, I know a lot of them. This wouldn't be me first time here in London.

[ He took the communicator out to see if he could find a setting to take pictures.] Gotta get a shot of this before we go love. Where would you like to go first, the Tower bridge, the palace or maybe Abby Road?

[She takes a moment to think about that, lips pursed as she considers her options. There's nothing about a road that sounds better than a bridge, so she decides to do the logical thing.]

Which do... you like better?

[ He thought about it a moment, he was about to say something completely different but he decided against it.] Tower Bridge, its pretty cool. Abby road is more of a music fan's thing. ITs where the beatles did one of their album covers, made a record there too. The tower at least looks more fun.

And love, if we ever end up in Ireland trust that I will give you the best tour. [ That one was clearly a promise more then a wish.]

..... [ Doyle looked at her a moment his eyes going large.]

U2, The Doors, Metallica... any of these ring a bell? [ Jesus what did her horrid father do to the poor girl! To not know one of the biggest bands, well EVER. That was just wrong.]

[Yeah, she's got the blankest look ever going on right now.]

[ A look that almost could be read as horror was returned.]

Sweet mother of Christ, it's not right at all! [ He turned because he couldn't even form words right now. He started down the steps.]

I'm fixin' this when we get back to the barge! You're gonna know proper music. God where's Dean when you need him. He'd know how to explain it all better. [ NO words slipped to rambling as he walked down the steps.]

[Dean. Cass follows behind Doyle wishing the same thing, that Dean was here now, to teach her and help her get through losing Tim. But he's coming back. He promised he would.]

Don't know most music. Merlin showed me... the jukebox, in the bar. First time... I really listened to it.

[ Doyle didn't know she was close to Dean too. He considers Dean his best friend on the boat, it's kind of strange being in a port without Dean near by for him. He knows Dean will be back though, he trusts his friend to return.]

The jukebox is a good place to start, you know if you get bored late night you can drop in and see me. I work at the bar at night, I can show you a bit of music meself. But for now let's go play tourists.

Always up at night. [Well, almost always. That's the thing about being one of the crazy mask wearing crowd, you keep really strange hours. She goes with him, because she wants to see things and having someone show them to her is always helpful. Besides, she likes Doyle. It's not exactly hard to spend more time with him.]

Will you give me... free drinks? [Which is just a joke on so very many levels. She doesn't even drink.]

Had a feelin' Steph seems to be a lot too. You guys the vamps I know look like early birds. [ He joked a bit looking back to her with a bit of a smile. He enjoyed spending time with Cass, she was a fun girl and easy enough to talk too. Batgirls must have that on the check box.]

But of course love, anything you want. [ His tone was teasing a bit. He would even if she didn't drink if she asked for it. He'd give it to her as long as he was the only one working becuase he's got no issue with it. Which in itself in as issue.

Once on the street he motions towards the sidewalk.] It's a couple blocks but your a city girl right? We can make good time.

Are there... food carts, here? Gotham had them. Food on the streets. Good during patrol.

Should be, it's been quite awhile since I been through London but their should be, if not we'll stop off somewhere right quick. So like a hotdog while spying from rooftop?

[The only bad part with that is she knows he's lying. She makes sure not to frown though, doesn't want to alienate him. That kind of poor judgement should be something someone does something about, but Cass knows she can't. She doesn't know how.]

More like, spy until done, then ten hotdogs. Then more spying.
