Seventh Unused Utility Belt | Video, forward dated to after dark

[When the feed clicks on, Cassandra isn't actually in view. Instead, the first thing seen is London at night... from very high up. She's filming mostly for herself, so she can go back and look at London from a thousand feet in the air again, but it seems like a good thing to show the rest of the Barge, too.]

Missed cities. Nothing feels better than... being up high, seeing everything. Wish I had parachute, would jump.

[She turns the camera around to show herself dressed in the batsuit, tugging the cowl off once she's in view.]

Never been to London, so I figure... climb to top of everything. Might never get to, if not now. There's a big clock, might be next. Any suggestions?


(ooc: Cass has climbed to the top of this. It's only the tallest building in the UK it's nbd.)

[ They've both got limitless credit card, so. ] Deal. And the winner chooses where to eat.

[Really, there's no losers here. They get to hang out and play rooftop tag and then there will be dinner. Sounds like a win-win situation for Cass.

After hanging up, Cass makes her way to their meetup point quickly, wasting no time so hopefully, she can get there first. There are no losers, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to try her hardest to win anyway.]

[ Steph picked a place that was nearby, close enough on the map that she could find the name. Maybe it's cheating, but it's a good feeling getting up on the rooftop and finding she's the first one there. She doesn't bother with a suit or mask or anything - she's done a little checking and this isn't a world where vigilantes are a thing. Besides, she would only attract more attention. She does bring her belt though, because without wires rooftop tag in London would be pretty limited. Most of the buildings aren't as close together as they are in Gotham. ]

[Of course, Cass shows up with her cowl in place again. It shouldn't be surprising at all to Steph, not when she's had all this time to figure out how Cass works. When she lands on the roof, she only grins when she sees Steph got there first.]

So where... are we eating?

There's an Italian place near Covent Garden I wanted to check out. Race you?

Which direction?

[She's gonna beat you there, Steph. Just look at this determined face.]

Uh. This way?

[ She should have brought a map, but instead she picks a direction that seems right and starts leaping across the roofs. Catch her if you can, Cass! ]

[She saw that! She's hot on Steph's heels when she takes off, but she stays behind her a bit to see how she does. Before, Steph hadn't been great at this. If she has to swoop in to save her, that's worth losing to her again.]

[ Gravity is still her worst enemy, but she moves with both an ease that proves she never stopped after she came back from Africa and a delight that promises she still loves this with every fiber of her being.

And she can jump a whole lot farther now. ]

[It feels so good to see it in her, that Steph's still that same person she used to play this game with before. She knew it, of course, but it's a different thing to see her body telling her all the things it used to.

She catches up quickly, pulls ahead but not so much that she can't still see Steph out of the corner of her eye. But it is tag, so she tags, reaching out to punch Steph in the arm.]

[ Steph takes it up a notch, and as has always been her way gets more reckless in the process. But she moves faster, and she isn't in any immediate danger of falling.

When she gets close enough she reaches out, stretches her arm to try to tag Cass back. ]

[Cass leaps out of the way, just barely managing to avoid Steph's fingers. It was close, though. Closer than Steph had ever gotten before and Cass' pleasure shows in the way she grins widely over at Steph.]

You're better.

You think this is good, I totally kicked Clayface's butt a while back. I told you I was better.

[ And really, praise from Cass is every bit as good as actually getting a tag in. She flips across a roof Nightwing style before going after her again. ]

Believed you, before.

[Steph reaches and Cass doesn't get out of her way, grins when Steph tags her again.]

Different, to see. Better run fast.

[ The moment she makes contact Steph doubles back in the opposite direction and is off like a shot. ]

I forgot to ask! Wires or no?

Do you need them?

[You don't, Steph. Cass can see it.]

Only if I want to break a record and a few more laws. [ And possibly get away from Cass a great deal faster. ]
