Seventh Unused Utility Belt | Video, forward dated to after dark

[When the feed clicks on, Cassandra isn't actually in view. Instead, the first thing seen is London at night... from very high up. She's filming mostly for herself, so she can go back and look at London from a thousand feet in the air again, but it seems like a good thing to show the rest of the Barge, too.]

Missed cities. Nothing feels better than... being up high, seeing everything. Wish I had parachute, would jump.

[She turns the camera around to show herself dressed in the batsuit, tugging the cowl off once she's in view.]

Never been to London, so I figure... climb to top of everything. Might never get to, if not now. There's a big clock, might be next. Any suggestions?

[Cass grins and takes Zev's hand to pull her closer to the edge, let her get a better look.]

Can see bridge and river. There's... a big wheel, too, that way. [She points off in the right direction.] Don't know... what it's for, though.

I think you ride in it. My inmate and I walked around a lot today and saw some things. [She crouches to better lean over the edge and take a look. If there ever was a fear of heights, the Cluster Lizard seems to have taken it. She's fine looking down at the distant ground.]

[Cass crouches down too, points at a little dot down below them.]

Can still read, from this high. He wants dinner. [Her finger moves to another one.] She thinks... he's cute.

[People watching takes on a whole new kind of fun when you can see what drives people to do the things they're doing.]

Read? [She asks curiously, leaning with her knees at the edge.] How do you know that?

[Oh right. That's something she hasn't talked about with Zev before.]

Um... the reason I can't... read, or talk right... never learned words. Was taught... to read bodies. Body language.

That's really impressive though. [She wishes that she could do that, perhaps it would have kept her out of the trouble she had been in.] Body language is as much a language as any other, I think. Just some people don't know it very well.

[It's not every day someone hears that and just rolls with it, so Cass isn't looking at the tiny people anymore. She's just looking at Zev and smiling softly at her, wondering how she got this lucky, to have a friend like Zev.]

Can be bad, sometimes. Usually, it's good. It doesn't... bother you?

[Usually people don't like knowing that Cass can see them, really see them, without their permission. She tries not to intrude, but it's almost impossible most of the time.]

No. There are truly terrible things people can do to each other- watching how someone moves and knowing what it means isn't terrible at all. [And she sounds surprised by the idea that it ever might be.]

Not everyone... thinks like that.

[Why is it she gets to lucky with the people she meets on the barge? Sometimes it's like it was created just so she could find friends, make up for everything she missed out on her whole life. She reaches out for Zev's hand, just kind of covering it with hers while they look out over the city.]

[She grins brightly, all teeth.] I've only had two friends before. I'm glad I met you, too. [Though... now she kind of wants to get closer to those people and see if Cass was right. She doesn't say that, though. Not yet. It's a strange urge because she's not afraid at all of trying it.]

[She doesn't have to say it, of course.]

Yes, we can. [And without warning, she tips over the edge. It's so quick, practically no one notices. Even those watching the building see what looks like a bag fall over, not a human. Why? Because she's rolling down like a tire.]
