After closing the connection with Jason she leaves her ship right away, more interested in the possibility that his company will... she doesn't know. Something. She wants to believe that being with Jason will do something to make the emptiness left by Stephanie and Tim disappearing hurt a little less.
When she gets to the Paisley she realizes quickly she isn't actually sure where she's going, though. Hopefully he'll be keeping a look out for her.]
[ He's there waiting when her shuttle comes in, leaning against the wall in the classic bad-boy pose... though a pose is all it is. There's tension in his posture that would be invisible to most people, but it's there all the same. When he sees her he straightens up. He doesn't have Cass's gift for reading people's movements, but there's a grace in the way she moves that makes him think all the rumors he heard are nothing but the unvarnished truth. ]

I'd offer something to smoke, but you don't seem like the lung-polluting type.
[She means smoking, but doesn't think to clarify that part. And while she knows drinking to mask pain is something unhealthy, something Bruce would be unimpressed by, she also thinks that this is one case where it might be acceptable.
But she also knows it would be pointless, because losing control and not having to think for a few hours won't bring Stephanie or Tim back. She runs a hand through her hair, on edge and uncomfortable, before she looks at Jason again. What she wants is either someone to hold her or someone to hit her and she isn't sure Jason is the first type.]
And he smiles a little when she chooses hitting, though it's far from a happy smile. He's been trying not to be too rough on their new punching bag... And someone to fight who can hold their own is always a good thing in his book.
And hey, "hit things until you feel better" is a tried and tested Bat family coping strategy. ]

Under other circumstances, he'd be politer, would take more time to make small talk and get to know her... but he's pissed at the world right now, pissed at Atroma for just taking the people he could trust away. ]
Preferred ground rules?
[ He'll play by Bruce's rules if she prefers: bruises but no blood, no broken bones. Or he'll play rougher, if she wants to make someone bleed. It's her call. ]
[She doesn't want polite, though. She wants exactly what he's providing and that in itself is being polite to Cassandra. As she follows him she pulls her sweater off, wadding it up with no care for wrinkles as she watches his back. This is going to be rough and mean, she can tell just from his body language, and she can't help feeling even more connected to him than she already did based on just Bruce's body language when he'd speak of Jason.
It's a little unfair, the attachment she feels. It's one-sided and unbalanced, but if they're both Bats that makes them family. She wants to have the right to him the same way she had the right to Tim, or Dick, or Barbara. But unlike them, Jason will understand her better. He already does if he's asking about ground rules.]
Nothing broken. Nothing that will... keep us from our duties. [If there's another attack on the fleet she wants to be in the right shape to defend the handful of people left here she cares about.] Everything else is fine. You won't hurt me.
