[Cass inhabiting the CTS isn't a new Barge occurrence, but it's not typical for her to go in looking upset and come out still... really looking upset. But here she is, sitting on the floor outside the CTS to catch her breath and wait for her legs to start working again because it's been a few hours now of nothing but punching and kicking and pushing herself so she wouldn't feel anything, but it's not really doing the job this time around.

So yeah, she's kind of brooding outside the CTS like any good Bat does after an upsetting day.]

[She goes back into the CTS after her break, but it's still not enough. In the end she's just on her knees punching the floor until her hands are bleeding and that helps, finally. Only took her hours to get there. Finally she leaves the CTS and makes her way back home to wait for Merlin. He can fix her, her hands and her heart.

It's a bit surprising, though, that she runs into him in the hallway, him approaching the door from the other direction. Even after everything, she's able to smile when she sees him.]

[Spock has not yet finished his tour of the Barge's facilities. He spent too much time in the library, and upon hearing that the CES and CTS were finally back to normal, he decides to conduct a small investigation into what they had been like before his arrival. To him, unfortunately, the CES would always be a bit of an empty place, foggy, and his communicator alive with voices he was not sure he wanted to hear, so he heads to the CTS, and sees Cass there.]

Hello.

[His hands are behind his back, like he is surveying something, and his posture perfectly controlled. He is regarding her with some curiosity.]

[It's interesting, watching him. He's almost blank on the outside but inside, there's a lot going on. Things people will never see, things it's possible no one will ever understand are actually in him, ready to come out when he's ready to let them.

Reading him, all put together when most people are a jumble of feelings and desires, is oddly soothing.]

[He's a little lost, actually. Less so with Kirk here, and with Mal, but he is still... uncertain of himself. The Barge is intriguing, but also incredibly dangerous. It appeals to his rebelliousness, a little. To stay even when logic dictates otherwise.]

I am looking for the Closed Training Simulator. Has it changed the scenarios it loads?

Found it. It's better, since port. Less dangerous. Should be fine.

[He's a warden, she's pretty sure. People that have body language like his are generally either wardens or serial killers who really believe they're doing things for the good of the people they kill but she's not really getting a murderer vibe from him.]

'Fine' has variable definitions. [His way of pointing out neither of them are quite 'fine'.] Furthermore, 'less dangerous' as compared to... the port?

[A beat, because it's usually polite to introduce yourself instead of ending a conversation on that note.]

[She reaches her hand up to him, curled into a fist. She's had enough time to learn that this isn't how real handshakes happen, but some habits are hard to break. Besides, she likes her version best.]

[He holds up his hand, split down the middle, in the Vulcan salute.]

Vulcans do not shake hands.

[At home he never had to explain that to people, but here, he qualifies it, out of politeness.]

[She studies his hand for a moment, then holds hers up so it's a match to his.]

Do you say hello? Or... have another greeting?

'Live long and prosper' corresponds with this greeting. [He gestures to his raised hand.] We do not have another, but having spent time amongst humans, "hello" is perfectly serviceable.
