[Cass inhabiting the CTS isn't a new Barge occurrence, but it's not typical for her to go in looking upset and come out still... really looking upset. But here she is, sitting on the floor outside the CTS to catch her breath and wait for her legs to start working again because it's been a few hours now of nothing but punching and kicking and pushing herself so she wouldn't feel anything, but it's not really doing the job this time around.

So yeah, she's kind of brooding outside the CTS like any good Bat does after an upsetting day.]

[She goes back into the CTS after her break, but it's still not enough. In the end she's just on her knees punching the floor until her hands are bleeding and that helps, finally. Only took her hours to get there. Finally she leaves the CTS and makes her way back home to wait for Merlin. He can fix her, her hands and her heart.

It's a bit surprising, though, that she runs into him in the hallway, him approaching the door from the other direction. Even after everything, she's able to smile when she sees him.]

[Snow herself does not frequent the CTS, but she walks the Barge fairly often. Stretching her legs is a good time to think. During such a walk is when she finds Cass sitting outside and looking quite down in the dumps. It's the first time she's seen Cass be anything less than chipper so of course she's going to stop.]

Cass... Are you alright?

[Sometimes, Cass forgets she knows people who came to the Barge after her warning about her father. Maybe that's good for the sake of his graduation, that he gets a chance to befriend people, but it's also dangerous. He's shown already he's capable, willing, going to trick people into thinking he's something he is not at all.]

Not really. My father is here... shouldn't have talked to him.

[Snow shifts a little on her feet. She thinks to ask if she needs or wants company, or if Snow may sit with her, but she decides to just take it upon herself to decide. She sits beside Cass, smoothing her dress for just a quiet moment longer.]

It's not always easy to know what you should or should not do. Especially not with a parent.

[After watching her body language go through all that, Cass would have invited her to sit if she hadn't done it on her own. Absently, she thinks it might be a good idea to ask Snow how to do that, sit down in a dress like that so neatly. Cass is still not the best at it, she could use some pointers.]

That might... be the problem. Know it's bad, talking to him. Know I shouldn't. It never... goes well. But I still do.

He is your father. It's natural to want to have a relationship with him even if evidence would tell you to keep your distance.

[Snow would have given most anything to have her father back. Even in Cass' position, she couldn't imagine wanting anything different.]

The only thing you can do is whatever you feel is right and hope for the best and not blame yourself when something goes wrong.

[She nods, because that's about what she did this time. It was right to call him out, to stop him from making himself look good on the network when he was anything but.]

Could have gone worse. [She didn't almost beat him to death, this time.] It's good, him being here. He has good warden, one who... won't give up. He'll change. He has to.

[Snow takes one of Cass' hands and gives it a reassuring squeeze.]

And until then, you only need to worry about yourself. Whatever mistakes he may or may not make along the way are outside of your control and not your responsibility. As is anyone he might hurt in the process.
