[Cass inhabiting the CTS isn't a new Barge occurrence, but it's not typical for her to go in looking upset and come out still... really looking upset. But here she is, sitting on the floor outside the CTS to catch her breath and wait for her legs to start working again because it's been a few hours now of nothing but punching and kicking and pushing herself so she wouldn't feel anything, but it's not really doing the job this time around.

So yeah, she's kind of brooding outside the CTS like any good Bat does after an upsetting day.]

Out.

[Spam for Merlin]
[She goes back into the CTS after her break, but it's still not enough. In the end she's just on her knees punching the floor until her hands are bleeding and that helps, finally. Only took her hours to get there. Finally she leaves the CTS and makes her way back home to wait for Merlin. He can fix her, her hands and her heart.

It's a bit surprising, though, that she runs into him in the hallway, him approaching the door from the other direction. Even after everything, she's able to smile when she sees him.]

Was just... gonna find you. Hi.

[He certainly isn't judging her. He's done his fair share of talking to people he probably should have just left alone in his time, too.]

Being in close quarters with people like that can be difficult.

No. [He hasn't really wanted to, honestly.]

That's perfectly understandable. I'm sure there are plenty of people on board who wouldn't have an easy time having their parent on board. [He didn't even want to think about what would happen if his mother showed up, and it wasn't even like she'd ever done anything bad to him or Raven. Not directly, anyway. She'd just not been a very good parent.

He didn't even want to think of what it would have been like if Howard Stark had been on board, or if someone like Shaw was. It didn't have to be a parent to completely ruin your childhood.]

Just because you're a hero doesn't mean you aren't allowed to be upset about this, Cassandra. Obviously I don't know the details of the situation, but if he upsets you that much, it isn't right for the Admiral to ask for you to be in such close contact with him. You should be allowed to set boundaries you're comfortable with, and you shouldn't have to apologize to anyone for that.

You don't have to ask the Admiral send him away, but you have a circle of friends who would be more than happy to help you get your space from him. Expecting you to suddenly be comfortable with having contact with him isn't fair to you, either.
