[Oh hi barge. Cass is looking kind of... flummoxed? She's not really sure how to feel about this recent development, but here she is, ready to tell you about it.

She may or may not have some little yellow flowers in her hair, don't worry about those.]

Loki is gone. I don't... know if it's for good. But... he's gone now.

[Will the Admiral even pair them back up if he happens to return? She doesn't know. She doesn't really know if she wants that or not.]

I guess... more free time, now? [Why doesn't she look happy about that?] Don't know. Just wish... I'd done more, for him.

[Oh God, did she miss the solstice, she feels inadequate.]

No. [So much a lie, but at least she can sell it (to normal people) a little. She straightens a little, lifts her head and pushes her shoulders back.]

It's not as if he ever would have graduated.

I didn't want him to. [That at least is true. Mostly. Maybe she did a little.]

Maybe. Guess there's... no real way, to know. Not for sure.

[A beat, before she decides that she really. Really doesn't want to talk about Loki at all anymore.]

What did you do with the wreaths?

Hung them up. Merlin said, if you... sleep under them, dream of husband.

[There's a little smile there because it's a silly thing to say, but the process and the time spent with Merlin had been fun. Silly, frivolous things are new for Cass.]

[On the one hand, fuck Merlin. On the other, that is the hint of a smile, so.]

Did you dream?

[With a quiet laugh, she ducks her head.]

Of pie. [But hey-] Want to make one? We can go... to CES, find some flowers. Doesn't really work, but it's fun.

[Okay that earns a bigger smile, though there's a pause at the question. For a moment she doesn't know what the right answer is, wonders if there even is a right answer, and wonders if that matters at all. She missed the solstice. This is the least she could do.]

All right.

Good. I'll meet you.

[She thinks about bringing glue because getting the flowers to stay in the wreath at all had been a pain, but in the end she opts for the real thing again. It's more fun that way, doing it without cheating.]

[Well there's always magic, but Morgana's views on cheating with magic right now are a little wonky. She clicks off the communicator, and heads up to the CES to meet Cassandra.]

[Cass is there and the door to the CES is open, but she hasn't gone inside yet. She likes to let other people in first so they'll get something tailored to them, especially if it's someone who doesn't have every chance to go in like she does. When she sees Morgana, she smiles and waves at her.]

Hi.

[She nods in return, even gives a smile of her own.] Hello.

[And when it's clear that Cassandra is waiting for her to go first, she steps through the door. There's a breathless moment where she's afraid they'll be given a scene from Ismere, or worse, Amata - but as it usually is when she walks in here, the CES becomes a forest just beyond Camelot's walls. The smile settles on her face, because she has fond memories of this place, even if they're mired in other memories she'd rather forget.]

[Once they're both inside and Cass sees that smile is sticking, she reaches out to slip her hand into Morgana's. Maybe she'll pull away, but maybe she won't.]

Now, we look for flowers.

[What are you doing Cass, what is this. She doesn't pull away, but it does get a curious look, eyebrows drawn in close.]

There's some just there. [She nods past Cassandra's shoulder, where she can just see some purple cresting over a tree's great roots.]

[Holdin ur hand. Deal with it Morgana. She nods and leads them in that direction, absently swinging their joined hands between them while they walk.]

Tell me about... where this is?

[She saw the pleased kind of reaction it got.]

[Gosh fine she's dealing. It feels a little absurd, though, and she can't quite smother the laugh. The question makes her look around, getting her bearings first.]

Camelot is a mile, perhaps two, in that direction. [She points; some things you never forget.] I grew up traveling through here. We're far from the road, it will be that way. [more pointing.] We used to hunt here.

[But she doesn't really want to think about who that 'we' entails.]

[Cass gets that, it's not that fun for her to think of Arthur right now either, but for different reasons of course. In her time here, Arthur became like family, a sort of brother. It feels a lot like it felt when Tim left, but worse because she knows she'll never see Arthur again.

Her grip on Morgana's hand tightens minutely because if Morgana goes away again, there's no guarantee she'll ever see her again too.]

Wish I could see it, for real.

The castle's magnificent. [She's not looking at Cass, gazing in the direction the city ought to lie instead.] There are high walls. Children from the lower town would hunt frogs by moonlight when it was full. I used to watch. [And she drags herself almost forcibly from the reverie, shaking her head and turning toward the flowers blooming in front of them. She lets go of Cassandra's hand to lean down to smell them.]

[Maybe one of these nights, she'll come wake Morgana up and she can do that again, except instead of kids she can watch Cass hunt for frogs. It could be fun. When Morgana lets go, Cass sits down in the grass and starts picking some of the flowers, setting them aside for later.]

[Her mouth crooks a little at the corners, and she shakes her head, picking her own pile.]

I watched from the castle. I didn't know how to slip past the guards, then.

[Leaning forward, Cass tucks one of the flowers behind Morgana's ear. They match now.]

Maybe we'll catch some, then. If you want. Heard that... frogs cause warts, though.
