hellofist[When the video feed comes on, it looks like everything is upside down. Only Cassandra's neck and chin are visible at first, showing a lopsided frown as she fumbles with the communicator, nearly drops it, and then finally turns it upside down. Now the view is her face right side up, and she grins into the camera before a paning shot shows she is hanging upside down from a tree in the CES.]
Crunches. Upside down. 500. Bored.
[She could have done this in the gym, yes, but there are less people here usually. Besides-]
Climbed the tree. Always wanted... to try. Bats are upside down. Funny, because [She puts her hand on her chest here.] Batgirl. Warden.
[And then she waves.] Hi.

She saw the background behind Barbara, she knows where to go and when she comes skidding around a corner and there. She's there, Barbara is there and how she remembers and Cass doesn't slow down, just runs to Babs and falls on her knees and wraps her arms tight around the other woman's middle so she can hug her as tight as she can.]

20/9/12 21:38 (UTC)I know, Cass. [Her voice is quietly sympathetic as she opens her eyes. She figured everyone would be ahead of her, too, if she's still Batgirl.] It's weird, isn't it? Weird and confusing.
[She wouldn't admit that to most people, but Cassandra would see it anyway, and - it's easier to trust Cass with her emotions.]

But Barbara is the mother she should have had. If she had been the wrong one too... Her face presses into Babs' stomach and her eyes are closed tightly, now.]
