Dean gets a new car. Also, a cake with pies inside.

For Aya, this book about Gotham.

For Stephanie, lots of chocolate.

For Zev, pen that reads stuff.

Jason gets some magazines.

For Loki, he needs a kingdom and people to rule over.

[Public Video]

[Cass has set the communicator up so it points at the large frozen lake in the CES and once she's sure it's recording, she grins and takes a few steps back.]

Watch this.

[Turning away, she runs for the lake and jumps onto the ice, sliding across on her feet. Apparently, she's not letting the lack of ice skates get to her. Once she comes to a stop, she turns back to the camera and starts her way back.]

It's fun! Everyone should... come try. Can let in inmates, if you promise... to be good.

(ooc: feel free to comment with spam if your character is a warden! Cass will let any inmate in so long as she can tell they're not there to cause problems.)

...alright.

[She continues to watch carefully. Several times, her body jerks one way or the other, threatening to collapse. But Cass holds tight. The minutes pass. She begins to figure the process.]

Am I doing this correctly?

My scanners are indicating an increased frequency in sensory response. Similar to a biometric release of chemicals known as adrenaline.

[So, possibly.]

[In a strange turn of events, Aya felt the process of gliding across the ice easier once the speed increased. There were any number of scientific explanations as to why, though she found herself more entranced with the overall sensation rather than just the explanation.]

[A nod.]

[For once, Cass would not have to look hard. Aya may have been subtle in her facial expressions, but it was easy enough to see that was highly involved with the movement. Her balance was improving, and she was beginning to test independent movement of her legs. Assisting in the speed and direction.]

[Aya does, mirroring her with a high degree of accuracy.]

I am willing to attempt a solo venture, yes.

[There was a fleeting period of adjustment as Cass let go. Aya had precisely calculated each angle her limbs were being held at while under the older girl's support. But she had failed to take into account the minute shift in weight. Readjustment came in the form of a single stumble before regaining posture.]

[She was awkward. Stiff. But still standing.]

[Aya takes a moment more to process, gradually slowing down. Ironically, it isn't until she comes to a complete stop that she abruptly slips and falls, collapsing to the ground in a very undignified heap.]

...I think this is not a very efficient way to travel.

[Despite her words, however, she is smiling. The fall did not hurt her, and already, she is gradually working her way to a standing position so that she can try again.]

Yes. Though I believe the flaw may be in my design. The lack of surface tension along the bottom of my metal components makes it more difficult to avoid slipping.

I may need to alter the bottoms of my feet if I am to properly travel across the ice.

Perhaps.

[She ponders over this for a moment, before her eyes glow. A small amount of green lantern energy emits from her palms, focusing on the bottoms of her feet. They glow for a moment before solidifying into twin blades, one on either foot.]

...may I try again?

[The ability to create constructs was not something she often utilized. But it was there, and moments like these definitely called for such.]

[Aya tries again, this time gliding across the frozen surface with a significantly higher degree of ease.]
